13 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
14 On page 389, between lines 10 and 11,

16 insert:
17 Section 348. Subsection (3) of section 288.901,
18 Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
19 288.901 Enterprise Florida, Inc.; creation;
20 membership; organization; meetings; disclosure.--
21 (3) Enterprise Florida, Inc., shall be governed by a
22 board of directors. The board of directors shall consist of
23 the following members:
24 (a) The Governor or the Governor's designee.
25 (b) The Commissioner of Education or the
26 commissioner's designee.
27 (c) The Chief Financial Officer Secretary of Labor and
28 Employment Security or his or her the secretary's designee.
29 (d) A member of the Senate, who shall be appointed by
30 the President of the Senate as an ex officio member of the
31 board and serve at the pleasure of the President.

1 (e) A member of the House of Representatives, who
2 shall be appointed by the Speaker of the House of
3 Representatives as an ex officio member of the board and serve
4 at the pleasure of the Speaker.
5 (f) The chairperson of the board of directors of
6 Workforce Florida, Inc.
7 (g) Twelve members from the private sector, six of
8 whom shall be appointed by the Governor, three of whom shall
9 be appointed by the President of the Senate, and three of whom
10 shall be appointed by the Speaker of the House of
11 Representatives. All appointees are subject to Senate
12 confirmation. In making such appointments, the Governor, the
13 President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of
14 Representatives shall ensure that the composition of the board
15 is reflective of the diversity of Florida's business
16 community, and to the greatest degree possible shall include,
17 but not be limited to, individuals representing large
18 companies, small companies, minority companies, and
19 individuals representing municipal, county, or regional
20 economic development organizations. Of the 12 members from the
21 private sector, 7 must have significant experience in
22 international business, with expertise in the areas of
23 transportation, finance, law, and manufacturing. The Governor,
24 the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of
25 Representatives shall also consider whether the current board
26 members, together with potential appointees, reflect the
27 racial, ethnic, and gender diversity, as well as the
28 geographic distribution, of the population of the state.
29 (h) The Secretary of State or the secretary's
30 designee.
