11  Senator Saunders moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 9, line 31, through
15            page 10, line 20, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  professional or public guardian, and all
18  employees of a professional guardian who have a fiduciary
19  responsibility to a ward, to submit, at their own expense, to
20  an investigation of the guardian's credit history and to
21  undergo level 2 background screening as required under s.
22  435.04. The clerk of the court shall obtain fingerprint cards
23  from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and make them
24  available to guardians. Any guardian who is so required shall
25  have his or her fingerprints taken and forward the proper
26  fingerprint card along with the necessary fee to the Florida
27  Department of Law Enforcement for processing. The professional
28  guardian shall pay to the clerk of the court a fee of $5 for
29  handling and processing professional guardian files. The
30  results of the fingerprint checks shall be forwarded to the
31  clerk of court who shall maintain the results in a guardian

 2  credit or criminal investigations are required, the court must
 3  consider the results of the investigations in appointing a
