lessees of governmentally owned real property; providing |

an effective date. |

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

|
|

|
Section 1. Subsection (7) of section 190.011, Florida |
21
|
Statutes, is amended to read: |
22
|
190.011 General powers.--The district shall have, and the |
23
|
board may exercise, the following powers: |
24
|
(7)(a)To hold, control, and acquire by donation, |
25
|
purchase, or condemnation, or dispose of, any public easements, |
26
|
dedications to public use, platted reservations for public |
27
|
purposes, or any reservations for those purposes authorized by |
28
|
this act and to make use of such easements, dedications, or |
29
|
reservations for any of the purposes authorized by this act. |
30
|
(b) When real property in the district is owned by a |
31
|
governmental entity and subject to a ground lease as described |
32
|
in s. 190.003 (13), to collect ground rent from landowners |
33
|
pursuant to contract with such governmental entity and to |
34
|
contract with the county tax collector for collection of such |
35
|
ground rent using the procedures authorized in s. 197.3631, |
36
|
other than the procedures contained in s. 197.3632. |
37
|
Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. |
