| 10 | Remove the entire bill and insert: | ||
| 11 | A bill to be entitled | ||
| 12 | An act relating to condominiums; amending s. 718.113, | ||
| 13 | F.S.; allowing unit owners to fly armed services flags on | ||
| 14 | designated days and patriotic holidays; providing an | ||
| 15 | effective date. | ||

| 17 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: | ||
| 18 | |||
| 19 | Section 1. Subsection (4) of section 718.113, Florida | ||
| 20 | Statutes, is amended to read: | ||
| 21 | 718.113 Maintenance; limitation upon improvement; display | ||
| 22 | of flag; hurricane shutters.-- | ||
| 23 | (4) Any unit owner may display one portable, removable | ||
| 24 | United States flag in a respectful way and, on Armed Forces Day, | ||
| 25 | Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, and Veterans' Day, may | ||
| 26 | display official flags, no larger than 4 1/2 feet by 6 feet, | ||
| 27 | that represent the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine | ||
| 28 | Corps, and Coast Guard,regardless of any declaration rules or | ||
| 29 | requirements dealing with flags or decorations. | ||
| 30 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2003. | ||
