  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to tax certificates for unpaid

  3         taxes; amending s. 197.432, F.S.; authorizing

  4         counties to conduct the sale of tax

  5         certificates by electronic means; providing an

  6         effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9  

10         Section 1.  Subsection (16) is added to section

11  197.432, Florida Statutes, to read:

12         197.432  Sale of tax certificates for unpaid taxes.--

13         (16)  Notwithstanding any other provision of this

14  section, a county may conduct the sale of tax certificates by

15  electronic means if the county finds that it is in its best

16  interest to do so.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2003.
