14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 4, between lines 22-23,
16  
17  insert:  
18         6.a.  In addition to the financial impact statement
19  required by this subsection, the Revenue Estimating Conference
20  shall draft an initiative financial information statement.
21  The initiative financial information statement should describe
22  in greater detail than the financial impact statement any
23  projected increase or decrease in revenues or costs that the
24  state or local governments would likely experience if the
25  ballot measure were approved.  Where appropriate, the
26  initiative financial information statement may include both
27  estimated dollar amounts and a description placing the
28  estimated dollar amounts into context.  The initiative
29  financial information statement must include both a summary of
30  not more than 500 words and more detailed information that
31  includes the assumptions that were made to develop the fiscal

 1  impacts, work papers, and any other information deemed
 2  relevant by the Revenue Estimating Conference.
 3         b.  The Department of State shall have printed, and
 4  shall furnish to each supervisor of elections, a copy of the
 5  summary from the initiative financial information statement.
 6  The supervisors shall have the summary from the initiative
 7  financial information statement available at each polling
 8  place and at their main office upon request.
 9         c.  The Secretary of State shall make available on the
10  Internet the entire initiative financial information
11  statement.  In addition, each supervisor of elections with a
12  web site shall post the summary from the initiative financial
13  information statement on their web site.
