14	Amendment (with title amendment)
15	Between line(s) 680 and 681, insert:
16	Section 11. Section 1003.45, Florida Statutes, is amended
17	to read:
18	1003.45 Permitting study of the Bible and religion;
19	permitting brief meditation period; requiring display of
20	motto.--
21	(1) The district school board may install in the public
22	schools in the district a secular program of education
23	including, but not limited to, an objective study of the Bible
24	and of religion.
25	(2) The district school board may provide that a brief
26	period, not to exceed 2 minutes, for the purpose of silent
27	prayer or meditation be set aside at the start of each school
28	day or each school week in the public schools in the district.
29	(3) Each district school superintendent shall provide,
30	upon the request by a resident of the school district, for the
31	display in a prominent location in each school under his or her
32	supervision of the motto of the United States of America, “IN
33	GOD WE TRUST,” on an appropriately framed background with
34	minimum dimensions of 11 inches by 14 inches.
