15	Between lines 125 and 126, insert:
16	Section 1. (1) The Task Force to Fix Our Economy is
17	established. The task force shall consist of economists who have
18	been invited to participate, one from each major public
19	university that has an economics program or department, and one
20	from each private university meeting the same qualifications
21	with fall or spring semester enrollments of at least 10,000
22	students for the entire university, selected by the respective
23	university, and three certified public accountants appointed by
24	the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
25	(2) The task force shall examine tax and budget systems of
26	this state and political subdivisions of this state for purposes
27	of determining the fairest mechanisms for providing the people
28	of this state with a fair and equitable tax system to raise
29	sufficient revenues in this state for state and local government
30	purposes and making recommendations on revisions to existing
31	state and local tax and budget systems to establish those
32	mechanisms.
33	(3) The task force shall select a chair and shall meet at
34	the call of the chair but at least each month. Members of the
35	task force shall serve without compensation but shall be
36	entitled to reimbursement for travel and per diem expenses as
37	provided in s. 112.061, Florida Statutes.
38	(4) The task force shall submit a report to the Governor,
39	the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of
40	Representatives, no later than 1 year after the effective date
41	of this act, containing the results of its investigations and
42	recommended revisions to state and local tax and budget systems.
