Remove line(s) 662-675, and insert: |

Section 11. Paragraph (d) is added to subsection (2) of |
17
|
section 984.01, Florida Statutes, to read: |

|
984.01 Purposes and intent; personnel standards and |
19
|
screening.-- |

|
(2) The Department of Juvenile Justice or the Department |
21
|
of Children and Family Services, as appropriate, may contract |
22
|
with the Federal Government, other state departments and |
23
|
agencies, county and municipal governments and agencies, public |
24
|
and private agencies, and private individuals and corporations |
25
|
in carrying out the purposes of, and the responsibilities |
26
|
established in, this chapter. |

|
(d) Any contract for services with providers of children |
28
|
in need of services and families in need of services, Associated |
29
|
Marine Institutes, Inc., or PACE Center for Girls, Inc., which |
30
|
requires renewal shall be executed no later than January 31 of a |
31
|
calendar year. For those contracts that are due for renewal |
32
|
prior to January 31, 2004, the current contract shall be |
33
|
extended until January 31, 2004.

Section 12. Paragraphs (d) and (e) are added to subsection |
35
|
(2) of section 985.01, Florida Statutes, to read: |

|

provisions of this paragraph shall be applied retroactively. |

51
|
