  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to road designations;

  3         designating a portion of Interstate 75 as

  4         Purple Heart Memorial Highway; designating

  5         Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial Highway in

  6         Hamilton County; designating Nott Circle

  7         Roundabout in Suwannee County; directing the

  8         Department of Transportation to erect suitable

  9         markers; providing an effective date.

11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12  

13         Section 1.  Purple Heart Memorial Highway designated;

14  department to erect suitable markers.--

15         (1)  That portion of Interstate 75 from the

16  Georgia-Florida state line to the city limits of Ocala in

17  Marion County is designated as "Purple Heart Memorial

18  Highway."

19         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

20  erect suitable markers designating Purple Heart Memorial

21  Highway as described in subsection (1).

22         Section 2.  Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial Highway

23  designated; department to erect suitable markers.--

24         (1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 41 located in White

25  Springs in Hamilton County is designated as "Martin Luther

26  King, Jr., Memorial Highway."

27         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

28  erect suitable markers designating Martin Luther King, Jr.,

29  Memorial Highway as described in subsection (1).

30         Section 3.  Nott Circle Roundabout designated;

31  department to erect suitable markers.--

 1         (1)  The roundabout at State Road 51, Walker Avenue,

 2  and County Road 136 located in Live Oak in Suwannee County is

 3  designated as "Nott Circle Roundabout."

 4         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

 5  erect suitable markers designating Nott Circle Roundabout as

 6  described in subsection (1).

 7         Section 4.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

 8  law.
