1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to state purchasing agreements and
3	construction contracts; providing a popular name;
4	requiring parties to certain state contracts or agreements
5	to remit a specified portion of the contract or agreement
6	price to the state for specified purposes; providing an
7	effective date.

9	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11	Section 1.(1) This act may be popularly referred to as
12	the “Slosberg Sunshine Remittance Act.”
13	(2) Notwithstanding any other provision of law and in
14	addition to any provision of law relating to entering into
15	contracts or purchase agreements with the state, any person or
16	business entity who enters into any contract or purchase
17	agreement with the state to provide services or commodities or
18	to construct any public project shall remit to the state an
19	amount equal to 0.5 percent of the price under the contract or
20	agreement. The proceeds of such remittance shall be used solely
21	to provide for salaries to hire additional teachers for purposes
22	of s. 1, Art. IX of the State Constitution, relating to class
23	size limitations.
24	Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
