  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to driver's licenses; amending

  3         s. 322.17, F.S.; deleting a fee for changing

  4         addresses on driver's licenses; providing an

  5         effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8  

  9         Section 1.  Subsection (2) of section 322.17, Florida

10  Statutes, is amended to read:

11         322.17  Duplicate and replacement certificates.--

12         (2)  Upon the surrender of the original license and the

13  payment of a $10 replacement fee, the department shall issue a

14  replacement license to make a change in name, address, or

15  restrictions.  Upon written request by the licensee and

16  notification of a change in address, and the payment of a $10

17  fee, the department, without charge, shall issue an address

18  sticker that which shall be affixed to the back of the license

19  by the licensee. Nine dollars of the fee levied in this

20  subsection shall go to the Highway Safety Operating Trust Fund

21  of the department.

22         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2003.
