  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to enterprise zones; amending

  3         s. 290.00675, F.S.; authorizing the Office of

  4         Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development to

  5         amend the boundaries of specified communities

  6         and increasing the population limit thereof;

  7         providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  Section 290.00675, Florida Statutes, is

12  amended to read:

13         290.00675  Amendment of certain enterprise zone

14  boundaries.--Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, the

15  Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development may amend

16  the boundaries of an area designated as an enterprise zone in

17  a community having a population of 235,000 persons but less

18  than 260,000 245,000, so long as the area does not increase

19  the overall size of the zone by greater than 25 acres and the

20  increased area is contiguous to the existing enterprise zone.

21  The amendment must also be consistent with the limitations

22  imposed by s. 290.0055 upon establishment of the enterprise

23  zone.

24         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

25  law.
