11  Senator Sebesta moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment 
14         On page 26, line 9, through page 27, line 4, delete
15  those lines
16  
17  insert:  Administrator Highway Engineer, State Public
18  Transportation and Modal Administrator, district secretaries,
19  district directors of transportation development,
20  transportation operations, transportation support planning and
21  programming, production, and operations, and the managers of
22  the offices specified in s. 20.23(3)(c)(d)2., of the
23  Department of Transportation.  Unless otherwise fixed by law,
24  the department shall set the salary and benefits of these
25  positions in accordance with the rules of the Senior
26  Management Service; and the county health department directors
27  and county health department administrators of the Department
28  of Health.
29         (m)  All assistant division director, deputy division
30  director, and bureau chief positions in any department, and
31  those positions determined by the department to have

 1  managerial responsibilities comparable to such positions,
 2  which positions include, but are not limited to, positions in
 3  the Department of Health, the Department of Children and
 4  Family Services, and the Department of Corrections that are
 5  assigned primary duties of serving as the superintendent or
 6  assistant superintendent, or warden or assistant warden, of an
 7  institution; positions in the Department of Corrections that
 8  are assigned primary duties of serving as the circuit
 9  administrator or deputy circuit administrator; positions in
10  the Department of Transportation that are assigned primary
11  duties of serving as regional toll managers and managers of
12  offices as defined in s. 20.23(3)(c)(d)3. and (4)(d), and
13  captains and majors of the Office of Motor Carrier Compliance;
