14 On page 87, line 1,

16 insert:
17 Section 62. Section 394.46711, Florida Statutes, is
18 amended to read:
19 394.46711 Emergency services.--Services provided by an
20 emergency room of a receiving facility to subscribers of a
21 health maintenance organization, whose coverage includes
22 psychiatric or mental health benefits, who manifest acute
23 symptoms of mental or emotional crisis or acute symptoms of a
24 substance abuse crisis, and who are presented to, or taken
25 into custody and delivered to, an emergency room of a
26 receiving facility for voluntary or involuntary examination
27 under chapter 394 shall be considered services for emergency
28 medical conditions under s. 641.47 for the lesser of 72 hours
29 or until transfer of the patient to an alternative facility.
