Between line(s) 55 and 56, insert: |

(4) If it is determined by the officer or agency |
|
17
|
responsible for distributing federal funds to a political |
|
18
|
subdivision that compliance with this act would prevent receipt |
|
19
|
of those federal funds, or would otherwise be inconsistent with |
|
20
|
federal requirements pertaining to such funds, then this act |
|
21
|
shall not apply, but only to the extent necessary to allow |
|
22
|
receipt of the federal funds or to eliminate the inconsistency |
|
23
|
with such federal requirements.
|
|

|
Section 2. This act shall not prohibit a federally |
|
25
|
authorized and recognized tribal government from establishing a |
|
26
|
minimum wage in excess of the federal minimum wage for natural |
|
27
|
persons employed within any territory over which the tribe has |
|
28
|
jurisdiction. |
