14          Amendment (with title amendment)
15          Remove line(s) 32-44, and insert:
16          (a) "Employee" means any natural person who is entitled
17    under federal law to receive a federal minimum wage.
18          (b) "Employer" means any person who is required under
19    federal law to pay a federal minimum wage to the person's
20    employees.
21          (c) "Employer contracting to provide goods or services for
22    the political subdivision" means a person contracting with the
23    political subdivision to provide goods and/or services to, for
24    the benefit of, or on behalf of, the political subdivision in
25    exchange for valuable consideration, and includes a person
26    leasing or subleasing real property owned by the political
27    subdivision.
28          (d) "Federal minimum wage" means a minimum wage required
29    under federal law, including the federal Fair Labor Standards
30    Act of 1938, as amended, 29 U.S.C. ss. 201 et seq.
31          (e) "Political subdivision" means a county, municipality,
32    department, commission, district, board, or other public body,
33    whether corporate or otherwise, created by or under state law.
34          (f) "Wage" means that compensation for employment to which
35    any federal minimum wage applies.
36          (2) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (3), a
37    political subdivision may not establish, mandate, or otherwise
38    require an employer to pay a minimum wage, other than a federal
39    minimum wage, or to apply a federal minimum wage to wages exempt
40    from a federal minimum wage.
