2	An act relating to the service of alcoholic beverages to
3	minors; providing a popular name; creating s. 562.1305,
4	F.S.; prohibiting the service of alcoholic beverages to
5	any minor employed by a licensed vendor; providing a
6	penalty; providing an effective date.

8	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10	Section 1.This act shall be known by the popular name the
11	“Jimmy Fugate Act.”
12	Section 2. Section 562.1305, Florida Statutes, is created
13	to read:
14	562.1305 Service of alcoholic beverages to minors employed
15	by licensed vendors prohibited; penalties.--
16	(1) It is unlawful for any vendor licensed under the
17	Beverage Law to knowingly serve alcoholic beverages to any minor
18	employed by the licensed vendor.
19	(2) Any licensed vendor who violates the provisions of
20	this section commits a misdemeanor of the first degree,
21	punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
22	Section 3. This act shall take effect October 25, 2003.
