17         Section 34.  Subsection (4) is added to section
18  458.3485, Florida Statutes, to read:
19         458.3485  Medical assistant.--
20         (4)  TRAINING AND PRACTICE STANDARDS.--The Board of
21  Medicine may adopt rules to establish standards for training
22  and practice for medical assistants with specialized training
23  or experience in any medical specialty area recognized by the
24  board and rules for medical assistants to practice under the
25  direct supervision of a licensed physician who is board
26  certified or board eligible in that medical specialty area.
