11  The Committee on Criminal Justice recommended the following
12  amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 2, lines 24-27, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  authorized and directed to compensate Michael
18  Yahraus's widow, Denise Yahraus, as personal representative of
19  the Estate of Michael Yahraus, and his three children, Nadia,
20  Michael, and Jonathan Yahraus, for the death of Michael
21  Yahraus caused by school board employee negligence, in the
22  amount of $1,050,000, such payment to be made out of funds of
23  the District School Board not otherwise appropriated, and to
24  be made thirty days following the first July 1st after the
25  effective date of this bill. After payment of statutory
26  attorney's fees and costs, and any outstanding Worker's
27  Compensation lien, 50% of the balance shall be paid to Denise
28  Yahraus, and the remaining 50% shall be divided into three
29  equal shares, with one share being paid into each of the three
30  children's restricted guardianship accounts.
