| 1 | A bill to be entitled | ||
| 2 | An act relating to campaign financing; requiring certain | ||
| 3 | organizations to file campaign finance disclosure reports; | ||
| 4 | providing requirements for the contents of, and for the | ||
| 5 | place and time of filing, such reports; providing an | ||
| 6 | effective date. | ||

| 8 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: | ||
| 9 | |||
| 10 | Section 1. Independent expenditures by organizations; | ||
| 11 | reports.-- | ||
| 12 | (1) Any organization that raises money for purposes of | ||
| 13 | making an independent expenditure in a political campaign must | ||
| 14 | file campaign finance disclosure reports that disclose the full | ||
| 15 | name, address, and occupation, if any, of each person who has | ||
| 16 | made one or more contributions to or for the organization within | ||
| 17 | the reporting period, together with the amount and date of such | ||
| 18 | contributions. | ||
| 19 | (2) The disclosure reports required under subsection (1) | ||
| 20 | must be filed with the Secretary of State, and the initial | ||
| 21 | report must be filed at the end of the calendar quarter in which | ||
| 22 | the organization first accepts a donation for such purposes. | ||
| 23 | Subsequent reports must be filed on the schedule applicable to | ||
| 24 | political candidates for office which is set forth in section | ||
| 25 | 106.07, Florida Statutes. | ||
| 26 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2003. | ||
