Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

|
|

|
Section 1. Paragraph (mm) is added to subsection (4) of |
20
|
section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read: |
21
|
320.08056 Specialty license plates.-- |
22
|
(4) The following license plate annual use fees shall be |
23
|
collected for the appropriate specialty license plates: |
24
|
(mm) Fish Florida! license plate, $22. |

Section 2. Subsection (39) is added to section 320.08058, |

Florida Statutes, to read: |

320.08058 Specialty license plates.-- |

(39) FISH FLORIDA! LICENSE PLATES.-- |

|
(a) The department shall develop a Fish Florida! license |
30
|
plate as provided in this section. The word "Florida" must |
31
|
appear at the top of the plate, and the words "Fish Florida!" |
32
|
must appear at the bottom of the plate. |

|
(b) The annual use fees shall be distributed to the |
34
|
Florida Foundation for Responsible Angling, Inc., to fund |
35
|
aquatic education, marine resource stewardship, and ethical |
36
|
angling practices in this state. A maximum of 15 percent of the |
37
|
funds received by the foundation may be used for administrative |
38
|
costs directly associated with the foundation's grant |
39
|
distribution program and license plate funding. A maximum of 10 |
40
|
percent of the funds may be used for continuing promotion and |
41
|
marketing of the license plate. The foundation shall provide for |
42
|
a peer review grant solicitation and award process to distribute |
43
|
the remainder of the funds to benefit aquatic education, marine |
44
|
resource stewardship, and ethical angling practices in this |
45
|
state. |

Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2003. |
