| 10 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: | ||
| 11 | |||
| 12 | Section 1. Section 18.10 is added to article 18 of chapter | ||
| 13 | 92-341, Laws of Florida, to read: | ||
| 14 | ARTICLE 18. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS | ||
| 15 | Section 18.10. Ethics education and application of ethics | ||
| 16 | laws.--Within 90 days after taking office, every elected | ||
| 17 | official within the consolidated government shall complete | ||
| 18 | ethics training as required by Section 602.1001, Jacksonville | ||
| 19 | Ordinance Code. This requirement shall apply to all elected | ||
| 20 | officials within the consolidated government, including, without | ||
| 21 | limitation, the Mayor, all City Council Members, all Duval | ||
| 22 | County School Board Members, the Sheriff, the Supervisor of | ||
| 23 | Elections, the Property Appraiser, the Tax Collector, and the | ||
| 24 | Clerk of the Circuit and County Court. Additionally, all such | ||
| 25 | elected officials shall be included in the definition of the | ||
| 26 | term “officer” in Section 602.201(x), Jacksonville Ordinance | ||
| 27 | Code, and all such elected officials shall comply with all laws | ||
| 28 | applicable to officers in Chapter 602, Jacksonville Ordinance | ||
| 29 | Code. | ||
| 30 | Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. | ||
