2	An act relating to specialty license plates; amending ss.
3	320.08056 and 320.08058, F.S.; creating a series of
4	Military Services license plates; providing for the
5	distribution of annual use fees received from the sale of
6	such plates; providing an effective date.

8	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10	Section 1. Paragraph (mm) is added to subsection (4) of
11	section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read:
12	320.08056 Specialty license plates.--
13	(4) The following license plate annual use fees shall be
14	collected for the appropriate specialty license plates:
15	(mm) Military Services license plate, $15.
16	Section 2. Subsection (39) is added to section 320.08058,
17	Florida Statutes, to read:
18	320.08058 Specialty license plates.--
19	(39) MILITARY SERVICES LICENSE PLATES.--
20	(a) Notwithstanding the provisions of s. 320.08053, the
21	department shall develop a series of military services license
22	plates for the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast
23	Guard as provided in this section. The word "Florida" must
24	appear at the top of the plate, and the words "Army," "Navy,"
25	"Air Force," or "Coast Guard" must appear at the bottom of the
26	plate. The appropriate logo for the particular branch of the
27	military must appear on the left side of the plate,
28	approximately 3 inches in diameter.
29	(b) The annual use fees shall be deposited into the State
30	Homes for Veterans Trust Fund and must be used solely to
31	construct, operate, and maintain domiciliary and nursing homes
32	for veterans, subject to the requirements of chapter 216.
33	Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2003.
