| 2 | A resolution honoring the accomplishments of the Palm Bay | ||

| 5 | WHEREAS, on December 12, 2002, the Palm Bay High School | ||
| 6 | football team won its second State Class 4A Championship title | ||
| 7 | in three years, and | ||
| 8 | WHEREAS, after having lost their first two games of the | ||
| 9 | season, the Pirates rallied in a determined effort that | ||
| 10 | culminated in the 19-10 defeat of the Tampa Jefferson football | ||
| 11 | team and earned them the 2002 Class 4A Championship title, and | ||
| 12 | WHEREAS, it has been aptly said that the Palm Bay High | ||
| 13 | School Pirates exhibited “a lot of heart” in overcoming their | ||
| 14 | slow start to become state champions, NOW, THEREFORE, | ||

| 16 | Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of | ||
| 17 | Florida: | ||

| 19 | That the Pirates and coaches of the Palm Beach High School | ||
| 20 | football team are heartily congratulated on their achievement of | ||
| 21 | the 2002 State Championship title and are extended sincere | ||
| 22 | wishes for continued success in future seasons. | ||
| 23 | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be | ||
| 24 | presented to the 2002 Palm Bay High School State 4A Championship | ||
| 25 | football team as a tangible token of the sentiments expressed | ||
| 26 | herein. | ||
