| 5 | WHEREAS, every child deserves a home with parents who | ||
| 6 | provide strength and security undergirded by love, support, and | ||
| 7 | guidance, and | ||
| 8 | WHEREAS, although parenting is all too often regarded as | ||
| 9 | mundane, its importance in the life of a child cannot be | ||
| 10 | overemphasized, and | ||
| 11 | WHEREAS, childrearing holds a place in society that is | ||
| 12 | perhaps unmatched by any other role or vocation to which one | ||
| 13 | might aspire, NOW, THEREFORE, | ||

| 15 | Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of | ||
| 16 | Florida: | ||

| 18 | That the House of Representatives pauses in its | ||
| 19 | deliberations to recognize the vital place that parenting holds | ||
| 20 | in the life of a child and in the whole of society and to | ||
| 21 | proclaim Sunday, July 27, 2003, "Parents' Day" in Florida. | ||
| 22 | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all citizens, organizations, | ||
| 23 | and governmental entities throughout the state are urged to | ||
| 24 | publicly recognize parents in their most worthy role as | ||
| 25 | nurturing rearers of children. | ||
