14	Substitute Amendment for Amendment (783791) (with title
15	amendment)
16	Remove everything after the resolving clause, and insert:
17	That the Florida House of Representatives commends the men
18	and women of our Armed Forces and pledges to stand with those
19	who today are fighting to protect our way of life.
20	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Florida House of
21	Representatives collectively prays for a quick ending to this
22	conflict and the safe return for the men and women serving in
23	the Middle East.

28	A resolution honoring America’s Military.

30	WHEREAS, the men and women of America’s military are now
31	engaged in a war with Iraq, and
32	WHEREAS, the time has come for the Americans to come
33	together to provide support and prayers for our troops who now
34	find themselves in harm’s way, and
35	WHEREAS, America is fortunate to have the finest military
36	in the world, and the Florida Legislature has a duty to work, in
37	a bipartisan fashion, to enact policies that will help the
38	families of our service members, and
39	WHEREAS, while Americans may have differing views as to the
40	war, all Americans should support and pray for our fellow
41	citizens who have voluntarily put themselves in harm’s way, NOW,
42	THEREFORE,
