A resolution designating June 2-6, 2003, as "Chamber of |

Commerce Week" in Florida. |

|
WHEREAS, there are chambers of commerce located in local |
6
|
communities throughout the State of Florida, representing both |
7
|
small and large businesses, and |
8
|
WHEREAS, in addition to promoting the business, civic, and |
9
|
economic interests in the regions they serve, chambers of |
10
|
commerce provide input to leaders on the local, state, and |
11
|
federal levels of government on various issues of critical |
12
|
concern to their members, and |
13
|
WHEREAS, today's chambers of commerce are also vigorously |
14
|
leading their communities in advancing technology, solving |
15
|
problems, and establishing a clear vision for the future, and |
16
|
WHEREAS, chamber volunteers give unselfishly of their time, |
17
|
energy, and expertise to advance the mission of the local |
18
|
chambers of commerce and to meet their annual goals, and |
19
|
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the merits of the chambers |
20
|
of commerce across the state be recognized and that sincere |
21
|
appreciation be expressed for the steadfast efforts of all who |
22
|
are involved in the work of the chambers, NOW, THEREFORE, |
23
|
|

Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of |

|
Florida: |

That the House of Representatives pauses in its |
28
|
deliberations to recognize the outstanding efforts of the |
29
|
state's chambers of commerce on behalf of their local |
30
|
communities, their state, and their nation and to designate June |
31
|
2-6, 2003, as "Chamber of Commerce Week" in Tallahassee. |
