1	House Resolution
2	A resolution commending Lauren Petrosky, recipient of a
3	2003 Prudential Spirit of Community Award.

5	WHEREAS, Lauren Petrosky, an esteemed resident of Lake
6	Worth and a student at Wellington Community High School, has
7	achieved national recognition for exemplary volunteer service by
8	receiving a 2003 Prudential Spirit of Community Award, and
9	WHEREAS, this prestigious award, presented by Prudential
10	Financial in partnership with the National Association of
11	Secondary School Principals, honors young volunteers across
12	America who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to
13	serving their communities, and
14	WHEREAS, Ms. Petrosky earned this award by giving
15	generously of her time and energy to form “For Diabetics, By
16	Diabetics,” a support group dedicated to helping juvenile
17	diabetics and their families share information and support, and
18	WHEREAS, the success of the State of Florida, the strength
19	of our communities, and the overall vitality of American society
20	depend, in great measure, upon the dedication of young people
21	like Ms. Petrosky who use their considerable talents and
22	resources to serve others, NOW, THEREFORE,

24	Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
25	Florida:

27	That the House of Representatives congratulates and honors
28	Lauren Petrosky as a recipient of a Prudential Spirit of
29	Community Award, recognizes her outstanding record of volunteer
30	service, peer leadership, and community spirit, and extends best
31	wishes for her continued success and happiness.

33	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
34	presented to Lauren Petrosky as a tangible token of the
35	sentiments expressed herein.
