2         An act relating to the designation of university buildings
3   and roads; designating the renovated transplant housing
4   unit at the University of Florida’s Shands Hospital as the
5   “Gerold L. Schiebler/Shands Transplant Housing Complex”;
6   designating the new Structures and Materials Research
7   Laboratory for the College of Engineering at the
8   University of Florida as “The Powell Family Structures and
9   Materials Lab”; designating the track/soccer stadium at
10   the University of Florida as the “James G. Pressly
11   Track/Soccer Stadium”; designating the Academic Advising
12   Center at the University of Florida as “Farrior Hall”;
13   designating the proposed band rehearsal facility at the
14   University of Florida as “Steinbrenner Band Hall”;
15   redesignating North-South Drive on the University of
16   Florida campus as “Gale Lemerand Drive”; designating the
17   Track and Field Center at Florida State University as the
18   “Michael Allen McIntosh Track and Field Center”;
19   designating the Student Life Building, 113 South Wildwood
20   Drive, at Florida State University as the “Reubin O’D.
21   Askew Student Life Center”; designating the proposed
22   entrance pavilion at the John and Mabel Ringling Museum of
23   Art at the Florida State University Ringling Center for
24   Cultural Arts in Sarasota as the “John M. McKay Visitors’
25   Pavilion”; designating the Education and Administration
26   Building at Florida State University as the “John E.
27   Thrasher Building”; designating the new residence hall
28   complex at Florida State University as “Sherrill Williams
29   Ragans Hall”; designating the School of Business and
30   Industry building at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical
31   University as the “Sybil C. Mobley Business Building”;
32   designating the new allied health building at Florida
33   Agricultural and Mechanical University as the “Margaret W.
34   Lewis/Jacqueline B. Beck Allied Health Building”;
35   designating the architecture building at Florida
36   Agricultural and Mechanical University as the “Walter L.
37   Smith Architecture Building”; designating the Archives
38   Building at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University
39   as the “Meek/Eaton Southeastern Regional Black Archives
40   Research Center and Museum”; designating the charter
41   elementary school located on the Tampa campus of the
42   University of South Florida as the “Dr. Kiran C. Patel
43   Charter School”; designating the building that houses the
44   University of Central Florida Downtown Center as the
45   “James and Annie Ying Academic Center”; designating the
46   student/community educational facility for health at
47   Florida Gulf Coast University as the “Kleist Health
48   Education Center”; designating the academic facility at
49   Florida Gulf Coast University, which will house the Resort
50   and Hospitality Management Program, as the “Herbert J. and
51   Margaret S. Sugden Hall”; designating the new nursing
52   building on the Boca Raton campus of Florida Atlantic
53   University as the “Christine E. Lynn Nursing Building”;
54   authorizing the respective universities to erect suitable
55   markers; providing an effective date.

57         Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

59         Section 1.The renovated transplant housing unit at the
60   University of Florida’s Shands Hospital is designated as the
61   “Gerold L. Schiebler/Shands Transplant Housing Complex.”
62         Section 2.The new Structures and Materials Research
63   Laboratory for the College of Engineering at the University of
64   Florida is designated as “The Powell Family Structures and
65   Materials Lab.”
66         Section 3.The track/soccer stadium at the University of
67   Florida is designated as the “James G. Pressly Track/Soccer
68   Stadium.”
69         Section 4.The Academic Advising Center at the University
70   of Florida is designated as “Farrior Hall.”
71         Section 5.The proposed band rehearsal facility at the
72   University of Florida is designated as “Steinbrenner Band Hall.”
73         Section 6.North-South Drive on the University of Florida
74   campus is redesignated as “Gale Lemerand Drive.”
75         Section 7.The Track and Field Center at Florida State
76   University is designated as the “Michael Allen McIntosh Track
77   and Field Center.”
78         Section 8.The Student Life Building, 113 South Wildwood
79   Drive, at Florida State University is designated as the “Reubin
80   O’D. Askew Student Life Center.”
81         Section 9.The proposed entrance pavilion at the John and
82   Mabel Ringling Museum of Art at the Florida State University
83   Ringling Center for Cultural Arts in Sarasota is designated as
84   the “John M. McKay Visitors’ Pavilion.”
85         Section 10.The Education and Administration Building at
86   Florida State University is designated as the “John E. Thrasher
87   Building.”
88         Section 11.The new residence hall complex at Florida
89   State University is designated as “Sherrill Williams Ragans
90   Hall.”
91         Section 12.The School of Business and Industry building
92   at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University is designated
93   as the “Sybil C. Mobley Business Building.”
94         Section 13.The new allied health building at Florida
95   Agricultural and Mechanical University is designated as the
96   “Margaret W. Lewis/Jacqueline B. Beck Allied Health Building.”
97         Section 14.The architecture building at Florida
98   Agricultural and Mechanical University is designated as the
99   “Walter L. Smith Architecture Building.”
100         Section 15.The Archives Building at Florida Agricultural
101   and Mechanical University is designated as the “Meek/Eaton
102   Southeastern Regional Black Archives Research Center and
103   Museum.”
104         Section 16.The charter elementary school located on the
105   Tampa campus of the University of South Florida is designated as
106   the “Dr. Kiran C. Patel Charter School.”
107         Section 17.The building that houses the University of
108   Central Florida Downtown Center is designated as the “James and
109   Annie Ying Academic Center.”
110         Section 18.The student/community educational facility for
111   health at Florida Gulf Coast University is designated as the
112   “Kleist Health Education Center.”
113         Section 19.The academic facility at Florida Gulf Coast
114   University, which will house the Resort and Hospitality
115   Management Program, is designated as “Herbert J. and Margaret S.
116   Sugden Hall.”
117         Section 20.The new nursing building on the Boca Raton
118   campus of Florida Atlantic University is designated as the
119   “Christine E. Lynn Nursing Building.”
120         Section 21.The respective universities set forth in this
121   act are authorized to erect suitable markers for the
122   designations made by this act.
123         Section 22. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
124   law.
