2	A resolution expressing appreciation to Representative Gus
3	Michael Bilirakis and his family.

5	WHEREAS, in response to a critical shortage of classroom
6	teachers in Florida, Representative Gus Bilirakis filed the
7	first House of Representatives bill that, along with Senator Don
8	Sullivan's efforts in the Senate and with the Governor's full
9	endorsement, eventually led to the creation of new, affordable
10	educational opportunities for aspiring teachers, and
11	WHEREAS, known for their many years of dedicated service in
12	furtherance of quality education in Florida, Bilirakis family
13	members have worked tirelessly in their local communities, at
14	St. Petersburg College, in the Florida House of Representatives,
15	and in the United States Congress, and
16	WHEREAS, on April 17, 2003, a ceremony dedicating the
17	Bilirakis College of Education of the St. Petersburg College
18	Tarpon Springs Campus honored Representative Gus Michael
19	Bilirakis and his family, NOW, THEREFORE,

21	Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
22	Florida:

24	That it is with great affection that the Florida House of
25	Representatives expresses its appreciation to Gus and his
26	family.
27	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
28	presented to Representative Gus Michael Bilirakis as a tangible
29	token of the sentiments expressed herein.
