Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

|

|
Section 1. Section 456.0392, Florida Statutes, is created |
24
|
to read: |
25
|
456.0392 Prescription labeling and reimbursement.--Any |
26
|
practitioner authorized under Florida law to write a |
27
|
prescription for a non-controlled substance who does not have a |
28
|
federal Drug Enforcement Administration number shall provide on |
29
|
the prescription the practitioner's name and professional |
30
|
license number. No patient or provider prescribing or dispensing |
31
|
prescription drugs pursuant to Florida law shall be required to |
32
|
submit the practitioner's federal Drug Enforcement |
33
|
Administration number as a condition of reimbursement or receipt |
34
|
of benefits.

Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2003. |
