An act relating to Hillsborough County; authorizing the |

Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco of the |

|
Department of Business and Professional Regulation to |

|
issue an alcoholic beverage license to the University Area |
6
|
Community Development Corporation for use within the |
7
|
University Area Community Center Complex and its adjoining |
8
|
patio deck; providing the license may be used for special |
9
|
events only; providing for payment of the license fee; |
10
|
providing for sale of beverages for consumption within the |
11
|
University Area Community Center Complex and its adjoining |
12
|
patio deck; prohibiting sales for consumption off |
13
|
premises; providing for removal from the premises of |
14
|
partially consumed, open containers; providing for |
15
|
transfer of the license; providing an effective date. |

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

|
|

|
Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the |
20
|
Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco of the Department of |
21
|
Business and Professional Regulation is authorized, upon |
22
|
application, to issue an alcoholic beverage license in |
23
|
accordance with section 561.17, Florida Statutes, to the |
24
|
University Area Community Development Corporation (UACDC), a |
25
|
corporation not for profit, located in Hillsborough County, for |
26
|
use by the corporation solely within the building known as the |
27
|
University Area Community Center Complex (UACCC) and its |
28
|
adjoining patio deck located at 14013 North 22 Street in Tampa. |

|
The University Area Community Development Corporation shall pay |
30
|
the applicable license fee provided in section 565.02, Florida |
31
|
Statutes. The license may be used for special events only. |

Section 2. Alcoholic beverages may be sold by the licensee |
33
|
for consumption within the University Area Community Center |
34
|
Complex and on its adjoining patio deck. The license issued |
35
|
pursuant to this act shall not permit the sale of alcoholic |
36
|
beverages in sealed containers for consumption outside the |
37
|
building and off its patio. Nothing in this act shall prevent a |
38
|
purchaser of such alcoholic beverages from removing an opened, |
39
|
partially consumed container of alcoholic beverage from the |
40
|
premises of the University Area Community Center Complex . |

Section 3. The University Area Community Development |
42
|
Corporation may transfer the license from time to time to |
43
|
qualified applicants who are either authorized by or under |
44
|
contract with the University Area Community Development |
45
|
Corporation to provide food services at the University Area |
46
|
Community Center Complex . Upon termination of a transferee’s |
47
|
authorization or contract, the license shall automatically |
48
|
revert by operation of law to the University Area Community |
49
|
Development Corporation. |

Section 4. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. |
