Following Specific Appropriation 59, at the end of the next to last
complete paragraph of proviso language on page 19, INSERT:
From the funds provided for Supplemental Academic Instruction, $300,000
is provided for grants to schools that received a grade of "F" for
2002-03 or 2001-02 and 2002-03 school years to implement research-based,
structured mentoring programs in reading offered before, during or after
school or on weekends. Programs must have been reviewed by the Florida
Center for Reading Research and posted on their website.
Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process. However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement
within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items. |
