Section 50. In order to implement Specific Appropriations |

2889-2897 of the 2003-2004 General Appropriations Act, |

subsection (2) of section 267.17, Florida Statutes, is amended |
19
|
to read: |

267.17 Citizen support organizations; use of state |
21
|
administrative services andproperty; audit.-- |
22
|
(2) USE OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ANDPROPERTY.-- |
23
|
(a) The division may fix and collect charges for the |
24
|
rental of facilities and properties managed by the division and |
25
|
may permit, without charge, appropriate use of administrative |
26
|
services, property,and facilities of the division by a citizen |
27
|
support organization, subject to the provisions of this section. |
28
|
Such use must be directly in keeping with the approved purposes |
29
|
of the citizen support organization and may not be made at times |
30
|
or places that would unreasonably interfere with opportunities |
31
|
for the general public to use such facilities for established |
32
|
purposes. Any moneys received from rentals of facilities and |
33
|
properties managed by the division may be held in the operating |
34
|
trust fund of the division or in a separate depository account |
35
|
in the name of the citizen support organization and subject to |
36
|
the provisions of the letter of agreement with the division. |

|
(b) The division may prescribe by rule any condition with |
38
|
which a citizen support organization shall comply in order to |
39
|
use division administrative services, property,or facilities. |

|
(c) The division shall not permit the use of any |
41
|
administrative services, property,or facilities of the state by |
42
|
a citizen support organization which does not provide equal |
43
|
membership and employment opportunities to all persons |
44
|
regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, or national |
45
|
origin. |

|
Section 51. The amendment of s. 267.17, Florida Statutes, |
47
|
by this act shall expire on July 1, 2004, and the text of that |
48
|
section shall revert to that in existence on June 30, 2003, |
49
|
except that any amendments to such text enacted other than by |
50
|
this act shall be preserved and continue to operate to the |
51
|
extent that such amendments are not dependent upon the portions |
52
|
of such text which expire pursuant to the provisions of this |
53
|
act. |
