14 On page 57, line 30, through
15 page 58, line 24, delete those lines
16
17 and insert:
18 (7)(a) The provisions of this section shall also apply
19 as to any insurer or adjusting firm or its agents or
20 representatives who, with intent, injure, defraud, or deceive
21 any claimant with regard to any claim. The claimant shall have
22 the right to recover the damages provided in this section.
23 (b) An insurer, or any person acting at the direction
24 of or on behalf of an insurer, may not change an opinion in a
25 mental or physical report prepared under s. 627.736(7) or
26 direct the physician preparing the report to change such
27 opinion; however, this provision does not preclude the insurer
28 from calling to the attention of the physician errors of fact
29 in the report based upon information in the claim file.
