Between lines 270 and 271, insert: |

Section 7. Paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of section |

213.30, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: |

213.30 Compensation for information relating to a |
19
|
violation of the tax laws.-- |

|
(1) The executive director of the department, pursuant to |
21
|
rules adopted by the department, is authorized to compensate |
22
|
persons providing information to the department leading to: |
23
|
(a) The punishment of, or collection of taxes, penalties, |
24
|
or interest from, any person with respect to the taxes |
25
|
enumerated in s. 213.05. The amount of any payment made under |
26
|
this paragraph shall bemay not exceed10 percent of any tax, |
27
|
penalties, or interest collected as a result of such information |
28
|
up to a sum of $1 million. The amount of any payment under this |
29
|
paragraph shall be 5 percent of any tax, penalties, or interest |
30
|
collected as a result of such information for sums in excess of |
31
|
$1 million.
