13 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
14 On page 132, between lines 7 and 8,

16 insert:
17 (3) Notwithstanding any provision of law to the
18 contrary, the caps on noneconomic damages provided in this
19 section do not apply to a medical negligence claim against a
20 physician who does not have in effect and providing coverage
21 for the incident at issue professional liability coverage in
22 an amount of not less than $1 million per claim.
