16          Remove line(s) 2266-2277, and insert:
17          Section 47. Section 1004.085, Florida Statutes, is created
18    to read:
19          1004.085 Informed consent standardization project.--Every
20    public school, college, and university that offers degrees in
21    medicine, nursing, and allied health shall work with the
22    Department of Health to develop bilingual, multimedia methods
23    for communicating the risks of treatment options for medical
24    procedures. Such materials shall be provided to patients and
25    their families in an effort to educate them and to obtain the
26    informed consent to prescribe a treatment procedure. The
27    department shall develop a list of treatment procedures based on
28    significance of risk and frequency of performance.
29          Section 48. Section 1005.07, Florida Statutes, is created
30    to read:
31          1005.07 Patient safety instructional requirements.--Every
32    nonpublic school, college, and university that offers degrees in
33    medicine, nursing, and allied health shall include in the
34    curricula applicable to such degrees material on patient safety,
35    including patient safety improvement. Materials shall include,
36    but need not be limited to, effective communication and
37    teamwork; epidemiology of patient injuries and medical errors;
38    vigilance, attention, and fatigue; checklists and inspections;
39    automation and technological and computer support; psychological
40    factors in human error; and reporting systems.
41          Section 49. Section 1005.075, Florida Statutes, is created
42    to read:
43          1005.075 Informed consent standardization project.--Every
