Section 14. Section 456.068, Florida Statutes, is amended |

to read: |

456.068 Toll-free telephone number for reporting of |

|
complaints.--The departmentAgency for Health Care |
20
|
Administrationshall establish a toll-free telephone number for |
21
|
public reporting of complaints relating to medical treatment or |
22
|
services provided by health care professionals. In accordance |
23
|
with s. 456.073(1), such complaints may be anonymous but must be |
24
|
recorded and transcribed, and such transcription shall |
25
|
constitute the written submission of the complaint. In |
26
|
accordance with s. 456.073(11) and (12), any person making a |
27
|
complaint through the statewide toll-free telephone number who |
28
|
does so in good faith shall be immune from any civil liability |
29
|
that otherwise might be incurred or imposed.
