14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 7, lines 14 - 26, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         (9)  EQUIVALENCIES FOR STANDARDIZED TESTS.--The State
19  Board of Education shall use the concordance scores for the
20  SAT and ACT as identified in the concordance study prepared by
21  the Department of Education and presented to the State Board
22  of Education on June 17, 2003, for purposes of meeting the
23  assessment requirement for a high school diploma pursuant to
24  s. 1003.43(5)(a) for the 2002-2003 school year graduation
25  class. A student in the 2002-2003 school year graduation class
26  who attains scores on the SAT or ACT that equate, pursuant to
27  this concordance study, to the passing scores on the grade 10
28  FCAT for purposes of high school graduation shall satisfy the
29  assessment requirement for a standard high school diploma as
30  provided is s. 1003.43(5)(a).

 9         allowing passage of such tests in lieu of
10         passage of the grade 10 FCAT for students
11         graduating in the 2002-2003 school year;
12         providing for legislative review;
