Section 87. In order for the State of Florida to determine |
|
17
|
the effect that medical liability reform has had on access to |
|
18
|
care for Medicaid patients, the Agency for Health Care |
|
19
|
Administration shall report on the number and distribution, as |
|
20
|
of September 1, 2003, of providers in Florida who care for |
|
21
|
Medicaid patients on a regular basis as part of their office |
|
22
|
practice. In addition, the agency shall provide a follow-up |
|
23
|
report prior to the beginning of the 2004 Regular Session of the |
|
24
|
Legislature to determine if there has been any change in the |
|
25
|
number and distribution of Medicaid providers in Florida. The |
|
26
|
report shall be made available to the Governor, the President of |
|
27
|
the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives no |
|
28
|
later than January 2, 2004.
