(8) APPLICABILITY OF LIMITS ON NONECONOMIC DAMAGES.--

Beginning July 1, 2004, the limits established in this section |

|
shall not apply to health care professionals licensed under |
19
|
chapter 458 who do not meet the financial responsibility |
20
|
requirements provided in s. 458.320(1) and health care |
21
|
professionals licensed under chapter 459 who do not meet the |
22
|
financial responsibility requirements provided in s. |
23
|
459.0085(1), and damages recoverable under this section shall |
24
|
not be limited.
