1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the
3 Florida Preservation 2000 Trust Fund within the
4 Department of Community Affairs without
5 modification; carrying forward current balances
6 and continuing current sources and uses
7 thereof; providing an effective date.

9 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
10 the Florida Preservation 2000 Trust Fund within the Department
11 of Community Affairs, which was declared to be exempt from the
12 automatic-termination provisions of the State Constitution by
13 section 2(1) of chapter 2000-118, Laws of Florida, but which
14 after legislative review has been found not to be exempt from
15 such provisions, and
16 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that the trust fund
17 continues to meet an important public purpose, and
18 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
19 policy concerning the trust fund sets adequate parameters for
20 its use and that the trust fund should be re-created, NOW,
21 THEREFORE,

23 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

25 Section 1. (1) The Florida Preservation 2000 Trust
26 Fund within the Department of Community Affairs, FLAIR number
27 52-2-332, which was declared to be exempt from the
28 automatic-termination provisions of the State Constitution by
29 section 2(1) of chapter 2000-118, Laws of Florida, is not
30 exempt from such automatic termination and is re-created.

1 (2) All current balances of the trust fund are carried
2 forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
3 are continued.
4 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2004.
