1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to enterprise zones; creating s.
3	290.00702, F.S.; providing for application by Osceola
4	County or Osceola County and the City of Kissimmee jointly
5	to apply for designation of an enterprise zone;
6	authorizing the Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic
7	Development to designate an enterprise zone within an area
8	of Osceola County or of Osceola County and the City of
9	Kissimmee jointly; providing requirements with respect
10	thereto; providing an effective date.

12	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

14	Section 1. Section 290.00702, Florida Statutes, is created
15	to read:
16	290.00702 Enterprise zone designation for Osceola County
17	or Osceola County and Kissimmee.--Osceola County, or Osceola
18	County and the City of Kissimmee jointly, may apply to the
19	Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development for
20	designation of one enterprise zone within the county, or within
21	both the county and the city. The application must be submitted
22	by December 31, 2004, and must comply with the requirements of
23	s. 290.0055. Notwithstanding the provisions of s. 290.0065
24	limiting the total number of enterprise zones designated and the
25	number of enterprise zones within a population category, the
26	Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development may designate
27	one enterprise zone under this section. The Office of Tourism,
28	Trade, and Economic Development shall establish the initial
29	effective date of the enterprise zone designated under this
30	section.
31	Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
