  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to trust funds; terminating the

  3         Consumer Frauds Trust Fund within the Justice

  4         Administrative Commission; transferring current

  5         balances and revenues of the trust fund to the

  6         Grants and Donations Trust Fund within the

  7         commission; providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  (1)  The Consumer Frauds Trust Fund within

12  the Justice Administrative Commission, FLAIR number 21-2-127,

13  is terminated.

14         (2)  All current balances remaining in, and all

15  revenues of, the trust fund shall be transferred to the Grants

16  and Donations Trust Fund within the Justice Administrative

17  Commission, FLAIR number 21-2-339.

18         (3)  The Justice Administrative Commission shall pay

19  any outstanding debts and obligations of the terminated fund

20  as soon as practicable, and the Chief Financial Officer shall

21  close out and remove the terminated fund from the state

22  accounting system using generally accepted accounting

23  principles concerning warrants outstanding, assets, and

24  liabilities.

25         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2004.

30  The Consumer Frauds Trust Fund within the Justice
    Administrative Commission is terminated and any balances are
31  to be deposited in the Grants and Donations Trust Fund.
