1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to the Florida Forever Act; amending s.
3	259.105, F.S.; providing for vesting of title to property
4	acquired in partnership with a local government; providing
5	that purchase agreements be approved by the Board of
6	Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund and
7	include provisions that protect the interests of the
8	citizens of the state; providing an effective date.

10	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
11
12	Section 1.  Paragraph (c) of subsection (7) of section
13	259.105, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
14	259.105  The Florida Forever Act.--

16	(c)  The title to lands acquired under this section shall
17	vest in the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust
18	Fund, except that title to lands acquired by a water management
19	district shall vest in the name of that district and lands
20	acquired by a local government shall vest in the name of the
21	purchasing local government. The title to lands acquired in
22	partnership with a local government, when matching funds are
23	provided by the local government, shall, if requested by the
24	local government, vest in the name of the local government or be
25	jointly or concurrently shared by the local government and the
26	Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund.
27	Agreements with local government for such purchases shall be
28	subject to approval of the Board of Trustees of the Internal
29	Improvement Trust Fund and shall contain such covenants,
30	reverter clauses, or other restrictions as are sufficient to
31	protect the interests of the citizens of the state. Land
32	purchases completed under the Preservation 2000 program and land
33	purchases completed under the Florida Forever program prior to
34	the effective date of this act shall also be eligible for the
35	title vesting provisions of this section.
36	Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
