13         Senate Amendment 
14         On page 3, lines 19-24, delete those lines
15  
16  and insert:  
17         (9)  HIGH STAKES POKER TOURNAMENTS.--
18         (a)  A cardroom operator may host a high-stakes poker
19  tournament twice a year for 1 week at a pari-mutuel facility
20  authorized to operate cardrooms, during the hours the
21  pari-mutuel facility is open to conduct business. Such
22  tournament may be conducted only once in any 6-month period.
23         (b)  A high stakes poker tournament must be organized
24  in the following manner:
25         1.  The facility may charge an admission fee to enter
26  the tournament;
27         2.  All players must be issued the same number of chips
28  or tokens for play at the start of the tournament; and
29         3.  Players may be awarded cash or prizes at the end of
30  the tournament, but chips or tokens may not be redeemed for
31  cash or prizes. Chips or tokens shall have no cash value.
