  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to school personnel; creating

  3         s. 1012.47, F.S.; requiring certain personnel

  4         in an alternative school that operates under

  5         contract with a charter school to file a set of

  6         fingerprints; providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9  

10         Section 1.  Section 1012.47, Florida Statutes, is

11  created to read:

12         1012.47  Employment of alternative school

13  personnel.--All instructional and noninstructional personnel

14  who are hired to fill positions requiring direct contact with

15  students in an alternative school that operates under contract

16  with a charter school must, upon employment and according to

17  conditions of the contract, file a complete set of

18  fingerprints as required in s. 1012.32.

19         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2004.
