11  Senator Miller moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 4, line 23 through page 5, line 9, delete those
15  lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         (45)  The agency shall contract with established
19  minority physician networks that provide services to
20  historically underserved minority patients. The networks must
21  provide cost-effective Medicaid services, comply with the
22  requirements to be a MediPass provider, and provide their
23  primary care physicians with access to data and other
24  management tools necessary to assist them in ensuring the
25  appropriate use of services, including inpatient hospital
26  services and pharmaceuticals.
27         (a)  The agency shall provide for the development and
28  expansion of minority physician networks in each service area
29  to provide services to Medicaid recipients who are eligible to
30  participate under federal law and rules.
31         (b)  The agency shall reimburse each minority physician

 1  network as a fee-for-service provider, including the case
 2  management fee for primary care, or as a capitated rate
 3  provider for Medicaid services. Any savings shall be shared
 4  with the minority physician networks pursuant to the contract.
